Bad Weather Forces Diversion of Two Islamabad-Bound Flights

Islamabad: Adverse weather conditions and heavy rainfall have disrupted flight operations, forcing two Islamabad-bound flights to divert to alternative airports in Multan and Lahore.
According to reports, a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight from Paris to Islamabad was diverted to Multan Airport due to poor weather conditions in Islamabad.
Meanwhile, a private airline flight from Riyadh to Islamabad was also diverted and landed at Lahore Airport.
Heavy rainfall also caused significant delays to two flights operating from Bangkok to Lahore. The flights were delayed by approximately nine and a half hours.
A Thai Airways flight scheduled to arrive in Lahore last night eventually landed at Lahore Airport this morning. Another Thai Airways flight scheduled to depart from Lahore for Bangkok was expected to leave this morning.
In another development, two flights from Bangkok to Karachi were cancelled after a delay of around 20 hours, further affecting passengers travelling between the two cities.
The adverse weather conditions have affected flight schedules at several airports, with delays, diversions and cancellations reported.
