Routes from KP to Islamabad Reopened

Islamabad: Following the postponement of the PTI long march, routes connecting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with Islamabad have been reopened for traffic.
According to a Motorway Police spokesperson, the M-1 Islamabad–Peshawar Motorway has been restored in both directions for all types of traffic.
However, restoration work is still underway on the M-14 Hakla–Kundal section, while the loop connecting the M-1 with the Hazara Motorway also remains under restoration.
The GT Road (N-5) Islamabad–Peshawar has also been reopened for all traffic.
A large number of containers are still positioned around Islamabad’s Red Zone, which may continue to affect traffic movement in some areas.
